In 1976, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia added their Rhododendron collection, and since then they have frequently added many different gardens and projects to their exhibit.
Another major attraction is the three story conservatory. This conservatory houses a wide array of different orchids and plants that are native to tropical habitats. Cafe Botanica is open at 10 A.M to 4 P.M on Saturday, and at 12 PM to 4 P.M on Sunday. The Gift Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday at 10 A.M to 4 P.M, and on Sunday from noon to 4 P.M.
One of the great things about the garden is that admission is free for all visitors. They do appreciate donations if you feel so inclined to do so. The UGA bus route runs through Riverbend and South Milledge Monday through Friday at 7 A.M to 6:20 P.M.
